Hi Everyone,

The aim of this blog is to discuss local, national and international news, issues and ideologies.

I was the Labour Party’s Prospective Parliamentary Candidate for the constituency of Guildford for the May 2015 general election. I’m a 44-year old community activist and airline pilot living in Surrey, UK.

I stood as the Labour Party candidate on 2 May 2013 in the Surrey County Council election for the division of Bagshot, Windlesham and Chobham. I have been the Labour candidate in 4 parish council elections and by-elections (2 of which I forced to happen) and 2 borough council elections, all within Surrey. I was the sub-agent for the Labour Police and Crime Commissioner candidate for this area on 15 Nov 2012.

My main interests and pastimes are: politics, current affairs, reading, classic cars, canvassing, watching football and cricket, Radio 4, Twitter, the environment, flying light aircraft, the NHS, travel, 38 Degrees, Radio 3, CPRE, economics, leafleting, art galleries and museums, campaigning, fighting prejudice and listening to The Archers.

Contact me about anything on this blog, or any other issue which is important to you, and don’t forget to vote!

Richard Wilson
